Alexa Ray Joel, daughter of music icon Billy Joel and Christie Brinkley was rushed to the hospital for a possible pill overdose in New York, Saturday (December 5). Emergency call came from Alexa’s apartment and the paramedics found Alexa having difficulty in breathing.
Alexa is scheduled to appear in a tree-lighting ceremony at the New York Stock Exchange this Thursday, Dec. 10.

A 911 call came in from Alexa's Big Apple apartment at 12:19 pm. A female caller told the dispatcher she had "taken pills." Paramedics responded and found her having difficulty breathing. Alexa was taken to New York's St. Vincent's Hospital.Billy’s publicist said in a statement that currently she is now in stable condition: “Alexa is stable. Her doctors are assessing her needs and that’s all we can say this moment.”
