Boston Celtics Beat Lakers in Game no.5; One Win Away From NBA Championship

The Boston Celtics fired up and shows championship caliber as they beat the Los Angeles Lakers 92-86 on Sunday night and take a 3-2 lead in the best-of-seven series.

Paul Pierce gave a "you can't guard me" performance scoring 27 points plus the Celtics physical defense slams Kobe Bryant's 38 points.

Kevin Garnett delivered all-around performance with 18 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, two blocks, and five steals. Rajon Rondo contributed 18, including a huge layup in the final 35 seconds.

The Lakers went close in the last 1:29 of the last quarter with Rey Allen fouling Bryant in the three point line. Bryant made the three free throws and cut the lead of the Celtics 87-82. The Cetics missed another play putting Artest in the free throw with two shots but sadly, he missed both crucial shots. The Celtics hold it ground to protect their lead until the last buzzer.

The Boston Celtics is now one win away to grab its 18th NBA Championship title. Game 6 will be in in Los Angeles homecourt.
