Actress Penelope Cruz and her husband, actor Javier Bardem, are the proud parents of a brand new baby boy! Cruz gave birth in Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles California on Saturday (January 22).

The couple's rep. said in a statement, "Penélope and Javier welcomed their first son into their family last week. Both parents and baby are doing great."

The Spanish couple met while filming Jamon, Jamon in 1992 and their chemistry flourish as they worked together again in 2008's Vicky Christina Barcelona. They married in the Bahamas in July 2010.

Keeping it low profile on their personal lives, actor Javier Bardem just gave a short confirmation about the pregnancy of his wife/actress Penelope Cruz and refuses to add more details.

"It is true," Javier Bardem said of his wife Penélope Cruz's pregnancy. "I am very happy."

He added: "Don't make me say anything else."

The couple cherish their privacy and they don't wants their lives to be a media circus.

Continuing their relationship in low profile even in their big special day, Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz tied the knot in an intimate and private ceremony in the Bahamas earlier this month.

Her rep. confirmed, the couple "exchanged vows in front of family members during a small, private ceremony held at a friend’s home. The bride wore a gown designed by designer John Galliano, a longtime friend of the actress."

Both appeared together in the 2008 Woody Allen romantic comedy "Vicky Cristina Barcelona."

Meanwhile, Bardem is headed to William McKinley High School in the exciting second season of the hit musical-drama "Glee"

Actor Javier Bardem is headed to William McKinley High School in the exciting second season of the hit musical-drama "Glee"! Bardem will play the role of a rock star who befriends Artie Abrams (Kevin McHale).

Th 41 year-old award winning actor tells EW, “We’re going to rock the house. We’re going to do some heavy metal — Spanish heavy metal, which is the worst.”

The "Vicky Cristina Barcelona" actor admitted that he watched the entire first season in one week and pitched the idea to Glee boss Ryan Murphy.

Penelope Cruz, who denies being pregnant is now reportedly engaged to Javier Bardem and they want to "keep it very private and quiet".

The Spanish couple met while filming Jamon, Jamon in 1992 and their chemistry flourish as they worked together again in 2008's Vicky Christina Barcelona.

Penelope's previously shared in her interview that she didn’t know if she even believed in marriage, “I don’t know if I believe in marriage. I believe in family, love and children.”
