Actress Roxanne Guinoo welcomes baby girl

Actress Roxanne Guinoo welcomed a new blessing to her life as she gave birth to her first child on Monday (September 13) at The Medical City in Pasig City.

Reportedly, she gave birth to a baby girl.

Early this year, Roxanne made a sudden announcement that she is temporarily taking a break from her showbiz carrer and she will tie the knot early next year with her Chinese-Filipino fiancé.

Speculations are swirling around that she was knocked up, then few weeks later she confirms that indeed she is pregnant.

Roxanne Guinoo's “Dahil Mahal na Mahal Kita” for 2010 (ABS-CBN primetime)

After their successful team up in the afternoon soap "Ligaw na Bulaklak", ABS-CBN is bringing Roxanne Guinoo and Sid Lucero in primetime for the upcoming series “Dahil Mahal na Mahal Kita.”

Expected to premiere on the first quarter of 2010, Rayver Cruz is also one of her leading men in this drama series.

Describing her new project, Guinoo told "SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon.": Maganda itong teleserye. Mamahalin talaga ng tao dahil sa kakaibang story. Kapag napanood nila doon nila makikita ang twist and all. Doon nila maa-appreciate ang character."

Award winning veteran actress Maricel Soriano will thrill and horrified you as she return to the small screen via ABS-CBN mini-series "Florinda", the third installment of the Susan Roces Cinema Collection.
The story centers on Florinda (Maricel Soriano) who find herself alone in the altar on her wedding day after her fiance Ramil (Jay Manalo) doesn't show up. Everyone thinks that either Ramil has died or that he has backed out of the wedding. Armed with the determination to unravel the truth, she lives in the ancestral house believing in her heart that Ramil will come back for her. Soon after, a series of ghosts are haunting her which leads to questions on her sanity.
Cast includes Jay Manalo, Cherry Pie Picache, Nikki Gil, Roxanne Guinoo, William Martinez, Zanjoe Marudo, Carla Martinez, Anita Linda, Shirley Fuentes and Aaron Juntas.

Helm by Rahyan Carlos and will start airing September 7, after Dahil May Isang Ikaw.

Marian Rivera, Dennis Trillo and Roxanne Guinoo in "Tarot"

GMA's primetime queen Marian Rivera is teaming up again with Dennis Trillo in their second horror-thriller movie "Tarot" via Regal Films.

Joining the two GMA-7 artists is ABS-CBN star Roxanne Guinoo which be a part of their love triangle.
Marian will be playing the role of Cara, a woman who has the ability to read Tarot cards. As a child, Cara was able to predict two deaths in her family by reading her grandmother's Tarot cards. She soon realizes that the Tarot cards may have unleashed a curse. And in order to prevent the onslaught of misfortune, Cara must unlock the secret behind the Tarot's deadly powers. She struggles to find a way to save her fiance Miguel (Dennis) by tapping the gift passed on to her by her grandmother (played by Gloria Romero). - Synopsis via PEP

Roxanne Guinoo in "Ligaw na Bulaklak (Wild Flower)"

A new challenge again for Filipina actress Roxanne Guinoo as she topbills ABS-CBN's newest daytime TV series "Ligaw na Bulaklak" after her stint in the primetime action series "Palos".

The new drama series will replace Kristine Hermosa's "Prinsesa ng Banyera". A weight of responsibilities is on Roxanne shoulders to lift the series and produce good ratings.

The story is about a woman named Lea Alegro (Roxanne) who was scorned by her childhood memories and need to fulfill her life's promise to bind her family together. Lea is a "whisperer" to a champion horse.

The cast includes Kjwan vocalist Marc Abaya, Sid Lucero, Isko Moreno, Coco Martin, Matteo Guidicelli, Erich Gonzales, Carla Humphries, Smokey Manoloto, Arlene Muhlach, Ron Morales, Jaymee Joaquin, Nonie Buencamino, Joem Bascon, and Chokoleit with the special participation of Jodi Sta Maria.

I'm not sure but the title of the series was change four times. The first title is "Wild Flower", it was change to "Cattleya" and suddenly it becomes "Ligaw". Finally they decided to change it again and makes it "Ligaw na Bulaklak".

The series will start this Monday, May 26, 2008.
