Jon Favreau is set for Disney’s The Magic Kingdom

Disney is securing the services of Iron Man helmer Jon Favreau to develop a film based on “"The Magic Kingdom".

The upcoming film will center on the Disneyland theme park in which attractions and characters come to life. The setup is described as Disney’s version of Fox’s “Night at the Museum" franchise.

Disney is now looking for a writer for the new script after they decided to shelved the script by Ronald Moore (Battlestar Galactica).

Favreau's latest film "Cowboys & Aliens," based off the comic written by Fred Van Lente and Andrew Foley, will be out in theaters on July 29, 2011.
