Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen admitted to The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA)

Council President Diane von Furstenberg and The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) admitted and recognized 31 new designers to their group including the famous twins Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen.

The twins have been recognized for their contribution to American fashion through their labels The Row (named after Saville Row in London) their polished, tailored collection of luxe wardrobe staples and Elizabeth and James their directional, mid-range brand, named after their younger brother and sister.

The Olsens fashion line are very much better than the other fashion line of other celebrities surpassing expectations.

Wearing a dark brown wig, actress-turned-fashion designer Ashley Olsen shows some sultry poses for the Summer 2009 issue of VMan magazine and she will also promotes launch of The Row's menswear line this fall.

Highlights in her interview in VMan mag via PEOPLE:

Ashley's personality off-camera: “I’m definitely a hippie girl.”

Ashley on fashion being in her future, not acting: “I’ve been transitioning from acting as a kid to doing something that I’m choosing for myself-to be part of the fashion industry. That’s what I want for my future. It has nothing to do with my past, nothing to do with anyone else’s agenda. And I followed my heart the whole way. But the outside perception is very different because you do have celebrity brands, people like Jessica Simpson and Kimora Lee Simmons, and those are celebrity brands because they have their names on it.”

Trust and support from her twin Mary-Kate: “The Row is really something that I’m doing while my sister still wants to focus on acting. She’s my partner in The Row, but she trusts me with the everyday. I mean, I see her like ten times a day.”

It is not only the “Influence” book signing of Ashley Olsen and Mary-Kate Olsen is happening at Borders books store in Westwood, California. Their are also PETA protesters taunting the twins for being “Fur Hags From Hell,” and “Trashley Olsen Fur Tramps.”

Meanwhile, Ashley and sister Mary-Kate will be hosting book signings in New York and Los Angeles to support the release of their new coffee table book Influence.
