"Lust, Caution" and Vanessa Hudgens are some of the nominees at the 2008 Asian Excellence Awards

The controversial Ang lee's movie "Lust, Caution" got 5 nominations for the 2008 Asian Excellence Awards. "Lust, Caution" is nominated for the Outstanding Film category.

High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens is nominated for the Outstanding Film Actress.

The Asian Excellence Awards is an annual celebration of the outstanding achievements of Asians and Asian Americans in film, television, music, and the performing arts.

The show will be taped live on April 23 at UCLA’s Royce Hall. Hosted by Carrie Ann Inaba and Bobby Lee, will reach a broad national televised audience with the premiere on E! Entertainment on May 1 at 6 p.m. ET/PT.
