It seems politics is next way to go for some artist. Veteran actress Alma Moreno is seeking reelection as a councilor of Parañaque City but not under her former husband/ex-Mayor Joey Marquez.
The 50 year-old actress filed her certificate of candidacy on Thursday (November 26, 2009) at the Commission on Elections office in Parañaque City.
She joined the party ticket of the incumbent Mayor Jun Bernabe.
Alma was given the title "Sex Goddess of Philippine Movies" in the '70s and '80s.
Actor Joey Marquez is eying once again the Mayoralty post of Parañaque after being acquitted by the Supreme Court last September for graft charges.
