MTRCB suspends ABS-CBN’s Showtime for Rosanna Roces controversial remarks

Vhong Navarro and Anne Curtis' "Showtime" is gaining recognition with the show's improving performance but with unexpected controversial remarks by one of the judge against the teachers, the Movie & Television Review & Classification Board (MTRCB) slapped a 20-day preventive suspension to the program.

Judge Rosanna Roces gave a controversial statement describing teachers as just "repeaters" which implies image of failure and doubt to the teachers.

ABS-CBN has removed Rosanna Roces as judge of the show and the network will file an appeal to lift the suspension.

"Magpasikat," will temporarily replace Showtime in its noon timeslot.

Rosanna Roces flare-up at the off-track betting station

Filipina fiery actress Rosanna Roces again made the headline. The headline is not about her acting projects but the troubles/outburst she made at an off-track betting station in Quezon City last night. Reports that the teller refused to register her bet without her paying first(in Pinoy gambling words, it means "walang Paki").

Media Reporters have witness the mixed-up that made Rosanna Roces more angry and started assaulting and cursing a television cameraman who was taking video footage.

According to GMA Reports, The actress-TV host rushed to the OTB station at Tandang Sora near Commonwealth Avenue around 10 p.m. Thursday to confront the teller for not registering her bet on a horse.

But the teller, whom the report identified as Letty Labay, said she refused to register Roces' bet because the actress merely called up a bettor and asked him to place her bet, without paying for it.

The funny thing is, her supposed bet has won. A P20,000 earnings slip into her hands.
