Katy Perry & Russell Brand Married In Traditional Indian Wedding

Singer Katy Perry and British comedian Russell Brand have finally tied the knot in a private traditional Indian ceremony at the luxury Aman-i-Khas resort in India on Saturday (October 23).
The couple said in a statement, "Russell Brand and Katy Perry are overjoyed to confirm that they were pronounced Mr. and Mrs. Brand on Saturday, October 23. The very private and spiritual ceremony, attended by the couples' closest family and friends was performed by a Christian minister and longtime friend of the Hudson Family. The backdrop was the inspirational and majestic countryside of Northern India."
The intimate ceremony was held near the tiger reserve in Ranthambhore National Park in Rajasthan, where Russell popped the question to Katy back in December of 2009.

Brand knows what's important about marriage and he recently told fans at a New York Times "TimesTalks" Q&A in NYC:
"We just love each other and we want to get married in front of our friends and family and keep it very normal. It ain't about selling the pictures, it ain't about doing no pre-nup, it's just a normal thing."

"I'm trying to preserve it, to keep it a beautiful thing," explained Brand, who first met Perry last year on the set of his comedy, Get Him to the Greek, in which Perry had a cameo that was cut. "I think people get the wrong idea on how we want the wedding to play out. Love between two people is the most spectacular, yet ordinary thing in the world."
A big Congratulations to the happy couple. Wishing good fun music together!

Russell Brand to Host again the MTV VMAs

It seems MTV loves Russell Brand's zany-hosting performance in last year's VMA that's why the British comedian is being tapped again to host the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards which will take place at NYC’s Madison Square Garden in the 13th of September.

A source tells The Sun, “He is over the moon. It’s the first time ever that the same host has been used for two consecutive years, which means a lot to him. He has had to promise not to offend the Jonas Brothers again though.”

MTV's General Manager Stephen Friedman told Usmagazine, "We are thrilled that despite numerous death threats from Jonas Brothers fans, Russell Brand has accepted our offer to put his life on the line and host the VMAs again this year".

His style of delivery in mocking her fellow celebrities is the reason why MTV wants him back!
