Sacha Baron Cohen is 'The Dictator' Saddam Hussein

Sacha Baron Cohen has another intriguing comedy movie and it is from a novel by Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein!


“The Dictator” is set for release on May 11, 2012 in which Paramount stated that “The film tells the heroic story of a dictator who risked his life to ensure that democracy would never come to the country he so lovingly oppressed.” (Hilariously finny!)

Based on Hussein’s novel Zabibah and The King.

Larry Charles, who also helmed Borat and Bruno, will also direct the film.

"Bruno" got the no.1 box-office fame with $30.4 million

Sacha Baron Cohen’s funny-controversial outing "Bruno" captures the no.1 spot in the weekend box office. The gay Austrian fashion reporter scored $30.4 million in ticket sales.

Even though it surpassed the debut weekend of its predecessor “Borat” with $26.5 million, Borat was shown in 837 theaters compared to Bruno's 2,756 theaters.

20th Century Fox's romantic comedy "I Love You, Beth Cooper" starring Hayden Panettiere opened with $5 million, landed at No. 7 spot.

LaToya Jackson's scene in "Bruno" deleted : "Out of Respect"

With the shocking and untimely death of pop icon Michael Jackson, producers of Sacha Baron Cohen’s new comedy "Bruno" decided to delete LaToya Jackson's accidental cameo appearance in the said film to show respect for the King of Pop and his family.

In the said scene, Fake Austrian fashion journalist Bruno interviewed LaToya Jackson and asks for her phone, attempts to find Michael's contact details and reads aloud what he thinks is his number.

The scene is not expected to be included in the film's theatrical release July 10.

Bruno join Alessandra Ambrosio in UK’s Marie Claire July 2009 issue

Bruno will be save by a video footage

A video footage will settle and free Sacha Baron Cohen from lawsuit against a woman who claims she suffered "life-altering" injuries during a Bruno stunt at a bingo tournament in 2007.

Richelle Olson filed a lawsuit claiming that she suffered brain injuries after she fell following a scuffle she had with Cohen.

Universal Pictures said in a statement:

"The allegations made by Richelle and Lance Olson in their complaint are completely baseless. Filmed footage of the full encounter, which took place more than two years ago, clearly shows that Ms. Olson was never touched or in any way assaulted by Sacha Baron Cohen or any member of the production and suffered no injury. If the Olsons elect to proceed with their frivolous action, we expect each of the defendants to be fully vindicated."
