The story follows an “expendable” team of mercenaries, hired to do jobs that no one else can or will, who are sent to infiltrate a South American country to overthrow the ruthless dictator and liberate the country.

All star "expendable" cast includes Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Mickey Rourke, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Jet Li, Randy Couture, Dolph Lundgren, Eric Roberts, Charisma Carpenter, Giselle Itie, Danny Trejo, Terry Crews, Steve Austin, Gary Daniels, Nick Searcy and David Zayas.

50 Cent is out, Terry Crews is now in for Stallone's "The Expendables"

After it was buzz about that rapper 50 Cent (Curtis Jackson) will replace Forest Whitaker in Sylvester Stallone's "The Expendables", now apparently 50 Cent will not stepped into the role but another big guy will play the character of "Hale Caesar". Their tapping the services of former NFL player-actor Terry Crews (star in the sitcom Everybody Hates Chris, Film: Get Smart, Street Kings, Longest Yard and many more).

AICN reports that they got "enthusiastic call from Stallone, who has recast the role of Hale Caesar"

"First off - he's 6'2 & a half" and BIG. He's a former San Diego Charger. He made his screen debut with Arnold Schwarzeneggar in THE 6TH DAY. And his most recent film will be this summer's Arnie-less TERMINATOR SALVATION. He is TERRY CREWS."

With Whitaker, 50 Cent and now Terry Crews, it seems the "Hale Caesar" character role was specifically centered to a big muscled black guy.
