"Ang Tanging Ina, Last Na ‘To" takes day 4; “Si Agimat at si Enteng Kabisote” still no.1 over all

Star Cinema's "Ang Tanging Ina, Last Na ‘To" delivered good gross result in Day 4 (December 28) of the 2010 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF). Ai Ai delas Alas' movie overtakes fantasy action-comedy movie “Si Agimat at si Enteng Kabisote”, taking the Day 4 top spot with Php 13.6 million while the team up of Bossing Vic and Senator Bong raked in another Php 12 million.

Despite the slight declined of the gross result “Si Agimat at si Enteng Kabisote”, it remains at he no.1 spot in total gross.

2010 MMFF Day 2: “Si Agimat at si Enteng Kabisote” on top; “Ang Tanging Ina Mo (Last na 'To)” still in second

The standings for the second day (December 26, 2010) of the eight movie entries for 2010 Metro Manila Film Festival’s (MMFF) remains and still leading the pack is the fantasy action-comedy movie “Si Agimat at si Enteng Kabisote” starring the two kings of MMFF, Bong Revilla and Vic Sotto with P27 million, totaling to P58 million. Star Cinema's "Ang Tanging Ina, Last Na ‘To" raked in P18 million, totaling to P38 million.

“Si Agimat at si Enteng Kabisote” tops 2010 MMFF Day 1; “Ang Tanging Ina Mo (Last na 'To)” in second

The movie entries for 2010 Metro Manila Film Festival’s (MMFF) delivered good opening box-office numbers soaring to P80 million surpassing last year’s earnings of P70 million.

The powerhouse combination of Senator Bong Revilla and Vic Sotto via the fantasy action-comedy movie “Si Agimat at si Enteng Kabisote” tops day 1 (December 25) of MMFF with P31 million. Star Cinema's “Ang Tanging Ina Mo (Last na 'To)” starring Ai-Ai de las Alas came in second with P20 million. Kris Aquino's horror flick "Dalaw" ranked third with P12.5 million.

2010 MMFF: "Father Jejemon" got “G” rating from MTRCB after deleting controversial scenes

Philippines' King of Comedy Dolphy is facing a dilemma over his upcoming movie "Father Jejemon" after some people from the Catholic church criticized some controversial racy scenes and they called on the public to boycott the movie.

The veteran actor doesn't want to defy the church so he decided to delete the two controversial scenes and now, the Movies and Television Review and Classification Board gave "Father Jejemon" a “G” rating (for General Patronage).

The two controversial scenes deleted are: the Holy Eucharist accidentally dropping into the cleavage of a woman communicant and the other with the Holy Eucharist caught in the dentures of another woman communicant.

This holiday comedy is RVQ Production's movie entry for 2010 Metro Manila Film Festival.


2010 MMFF: Kris Aquino "Dalaw" - Behind-the-scene clip

Star Cinema will deliver the hair-raising thrills this holiday season via the horror flick "Dalaw" starring ABS-CBN's 'Queen of Horror’ Kris Aquino and Diether Ocampo. [Checkout the Behind-the-scene clip Below]
This film is the official entry of Star Cinema, CineMedia & MJM Productions for the 2010 Metro Manila Film Festival.


Dalaw also stars Alessandra de Rossi, Karylle, Maliksi Morales, Empress, Bernard Palanca, Susan Africa, Ina Feleo and Ms. Gina Pareno, and premieres in theaters nationwide this December 25.

Under Kris Aquino's credits (horror-suspense film): Feng Shui (2004) and Sukob (2006).  TV remake of the horror film Patayin Sa Sindak Si Barbara (2008).

Directed by Dondon Santos and it will hit the theaters on December 25! Other Star Cinema entries are "Ang Tanging Ina Mo, Last Na 'To" and 3D animated film "RPG Metanoia"

MMFF 2010: Gwen Zamora as Faye in "Si Agimat at Si Enteng Kabisote" (Photos)

Checkout the promotional photos of GMA-7's newest actress Gwen Zamora as the pretty fairy Faye (the enchanting wife of Enteng)  in the action-fantasy-comedy flick "Si Agimat at Si Enteng Kabisote" topbilled by the certified box-office kings Bong Revilla Jr. and Vic Sotto.

Excited on her silver screen debut, Gwen shared, “Super touched kasi ako na I got the role. Hindi ko akalain na yung first movie ko would be this big. Kaya super thankful talaga ako at saka my prayers talaga were answered. Kasi I’ve been working so hard for a year doing auditions, and now that I’m getting a break, parang.. wow! Siguro it’s overwhelming, that’s all I can say.”

The other leading lady is Sam Pinto as Samara [Photos], a warrior who is looking for Agimat to save their world.

This film is an entry for the 2010 Metro Manila Film Festival and it is being produced by M-Zet, GMA Films, Octo Arts Films, Imus Productions and APT Productions. In theaters, Dec. 25!

MMFF 2010: "RPG Metanoia" Nine Character Posters

Checkout nine character posters for the upcoming 3D animated film "RPG Metanoia" with the featured artist that lend their voices like Zaijian Jaranilla, Aga Muhlach, Eugene Domingo, Mika Dela Cruz, Basty Alcances, Jairus Aquino, Aaron Junatas and Vhong Navarro.

This film is an official entry of Star Cinema and Ambient Media to the 36th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).

RPG Metanoia is the stroy of Nico (voiced by Zaijan Jaranilla) , an eleven year old boy who lives a normal child's life. His world becomes different when he plays the MMORPG (Massively Multi-players Online Role Playing Game) called Metanoia.

He assumes the avatar "Zero", a vagabond armed with a magic yoyo. He has a set of friends who also plays Metanoia with him (Bobby, Daniel, Bryan, Mark and May). Conflict arises when a virus invades Metanoia and the gang was forced to defeat their nemesis Sargo.

Directed by Louie Suarez and it will hit the theaters on December 25.
