"Ang Tanging Ina, Last Na ‘To" takes day 4; “Si Agimat at si Enteng Kabisote” still no.1 over all

Star Cinema's "Ang Tanging Ina, Last Na ‘To" delivered good gross result in Day 4 (December 28) of the 2010 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF). Ai Ai delas Alas' movie overtakes fantasy action-comedy movie “Si Agimat at si Enteng Kabisote”, taking the Day 4 top spot with Php 13.6 million while the team up of Bossing Vic and Senator Bong raked in another Php 12 million.

Despite the slight declined of the gross result “Si Agimat at si Enteng Kabisote”, it remains at he no.1 spot in total gross.

The standings for the second day (December 26, 2010) of the eight movie entries for 2010 Metro Manila Film Festival’s (MMFF) remains and still leading the pack is the fantasy action-comedy movie “Si Agimat at si Enteng Kabisote” starring the two kings of MMFF, Bong Revilla and Vic Sotto with P27 million, totaling to P58 million. Star Cinema's "Ang Tanging Ina, Last Na ‘To" raked in P18 million, totaling to P38 million.

“Si Agimat at si Enteng Kabisote” tops 2010 MMFF Day 1; “Ang Tanging Ina Mo (Last na 'To)” in second

The movie entries for 2010 Metro Manila Film Festival’s (MMFF) delivered good opening box-office numbers soaring to P80 million surpassing last year’s earnings of P70 million.

The powerhouse combination of Senator Bong Revilla and Vic Sotto via the fantasy action-comedy movie “Si Agimat at si Enteng Kabisote” tops day 1 (December 25) of MMFF with P31 million. Star Cinema's “Ang Tanging Ina Mo (Last na 'To)” starring Ai-Ai de las Alas came in second with P20 million. Kris Aquino's horror flick "Dalaw" ranked third with P12.5 million.

2010 MMFF: "Ang Tanging Ina Mo, Last Na 'To" Trailer & Poster

Star Cinema has released the official poster and the latest trailer for the upcoming holiday comedy "Ang Tanging Ina Mo, Last Na 'To" starring Ai-Ai de las Alas as she reprise her role as Ina Montecillo.


"Ang Tanging Ina Mo, Last Na 'To" is the 3rd installment of the“ Tanging Ina” film franchise and probably the last. It is also the official entry for 2010 Metro Manila Film Festival.

Originals cast will be back that includes Eugene Domingo, Marvin Agustin, Nikki Valdez, Carlo Aquino, Alwyn Uytingco, Shaina Magdayao, Marc Acueza, Serena Dalrymple, Jiro Manio, Yuuki Kadooka, Janella and Bianca Calma but sadly to say Heart Evangelista failed to join the film. The grandchildren will be played by Owie Boy Gapuz and Xyriel Anne Manabat.

Directed by Wenn V. Deramas and it will hit the theaters December 25, 2010.

2010 MMFF: Ai-Ai de las Alas' "Ang Tanging Ina Mo, Last Na 'To" - promotional photo

Star Cinema has released the teaser promotional photo of comedienne Ai-Ai de las Alas as she reprise her role as Ina Montecillo in the upcoming holiday comedy "Ang Tanging Ina Mo, Last Na 'To", official entry for 2010 Metro Manila Film Festival.

This is the 3rd installment of the“ Tanging Ina” film franchise. After raising her children and became an ex-President, Ina Montecilio ( Ai-Ai)  will now face the life of a grandmother.

Originals cast will be back including Eugene Domingo but sadly to say Heart Evangelista failed to join the film.

Directed by Wenn V. Deramas and it will hit the theaters December 25, 2010.

Kim Chiu & Ai Ai delas Alas "Maling Akala" - New Trailer

ABS-CBN primetiime princess Kim Chiu is teaming up with Philippines' comedy queen Ai Ai delas Alas in an upcoming episode for ABS-CBN’s weekly series Your Song Presents "Maling Akala" premiering on July 25.
"Maling Akala" circles on how a mother and daughter stick with each other even through worst scenarios.

An incident pushes Buena (Delas Alas) and Yen (Chiu) to take on different personas only because they were mistaken to be someone they’re not. Their pretension leads to more trouble, causing a chain of conflict which they have to deal with eventually. -ABSCBN
Other cast includes Jon Arcilla, Alex Castro and Van Pojas.

Kim Chiu & Ai Ai delas Alas for "Your Song Presents: Maling Akala" - teaser trailer

ABS-CBN primetiime princess Kim Chiu is teaming up with Philippines' comedy queen Ai Ai delas Alas in an upcoming episode for ABS-CBN’s weekly series Your Song Presents, "Maling Akala" (working title).

It seems the teaser shows Ai Ai and Kim as Mother-daughter tandem mistaken for wealthy socialites or maybe vice versa.


Ai Ai delas Alas taking Public Administration course; will run for public office in the future

Her popularity and current success doesn't hinder her to achieve another path. Philippines' comedy queen/Pilipinas Got Talent judge Ai Ai delas Alas is setting her goals in studying public administration course at the University of the Philippines in Diliman, Quezon City this school year.

It will be a personal fulfillment to her as she admits that she's eying for public office in the future in her home province of Batangas.

Reportedly, the comedienne already earned a mass communication degree from Far Eastern University in 1985.

Ai-ai delas Alas & Zaijan Jaranilla for "Maalaala Mo Kaya" Mother’s Day episode

"Maalaala Mo Kaya" has something special for its Mother’s Day episode as they combined Philippines' comedy queen Ai-Ai delas Alas and Kapamiya's boy wonder Zaijian Jaranilla. A story about Mother's love, sacrifice and decisions that she must take for the future of her child.
Ai-Ai plays the role of Alice, the kind-hearted aunt of Eleng (Lauren Young) who entrusts her son Charles (Zaijian) to her care. Alice is forced to raise the boy while Eleng earns a living abroad.

The conflict begins when Eleng returns five years later and Charles doesn’t recognize her. Is there anyone to blame if he prefers the mother who stayed by his side rather than the one who sacrificed a lot for him? Who between Alice and Eleng should make the ultimate sacrifice by letting go of Charles?
Also in the cast are Karla Estrada, Lauren Young and directed by Jerry Lopez Sineneng.

A political campaign-music video in support for Noynoy Aquino was unveiled yesterday which shows deep emotions and a promise of hope for a better tomorrow.

The music video features an all-star cast from the kapamilya and kapuso network: Kris Aquino, Sharon Cuneta, Boy Abunda (who jump from Manny Villar to Noynoy), Ogie Alcasid, Dingdong Dantes, Marian Rivera, Anne Curtis, Bea Alonzo, James Yap, Aiai delas Alas, Mariel Rodriguez, Bianca Gonzales and many more..

Helm by Onat Diaz and Regine Velazquez sung the theme song "Hindi ka nag-iisa".

Ai-Ai delas Alas will rest longer due to kidney infection

It seems former beauty queen Charlene Gonzales will stay more longer as the temporary co-host of Ruffa Gutierrez.

Comedienne Ai-Ai delas Alas is now being advised by FEU-NRMF doctors to take a rest for at least five days due to acute kidney infection and inflammation of the stomach.

According to SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon, the morning show host is suffering from “acute pyelonephritis and acute gastritis.”

On the medical bulletin issued by Dr. Lerie V. Chan, “She is closely being monitored and observed and is expected to be better in the days to come".

Reportedly, they suspected that the raw food that she ate in Japan might have triggered her stomach ache.

Withe her absence, her humor will be surely miss.

UPDATE: 2nd day of Metro Manila Film Festival 2008 box-office result

The blockbuster family comedy flick of Star Cinema’s “Ang Tanging Ina N’yong Lahat” continues to dominate the box office results. The two day's earning reached to Php 133.7 million, 37 percent higher than last year.

With the result of yesterday's awards night, the moviegoers curiosity will boost up the ticket sales.

“Ang Tanging Ina N’yong Lahat”
bagged the 2nd Best Picture Award while the night goes to the period film "Baler", took home 10 festival awards.

1. Ang Tanging Ina N’yong Lahat - Php 41 million
2. Iskul Bukol… 20 Years After - Php 35.6 million
3. Shake Rattle and Roll X - Php 22.9 million
4. Baler - Php 15.2 million

Star Cinema’s “Ang Tanging Ina Niyong Lahat” topped the 1st day of the 2008 Metro Manila Film Festival

The battle in the box office has now started. The first day ticket sales of the 2008 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) are now released.

Taking the to spot is Star Cinema’s “Ang Tanging Ina Niyong Lahat” with P20.9 million in ticket sales nationwide. Followed by M-Zet Productions’ “Iskul Bukol 20 Years Later” starring Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon, earning P18.9 million.

MMFF’s executive committee said the film festival’s total earnings Thursday reached P68.6 million, up 13.4 percent from last year.

"Ang Tanging Ina N'yong Lahat" international screening dates

Many are now anticipating that the sequel "Ang Tanging Ina N'yong Lahat" will surpass the blockbuster success of the first "Tanging Ina" movie in 2003. It is graded B by the Cinema Evaluation Board.

Aside from scheduled showing this Christmas for the 34th Metro Manila Film Festival, they also released the international screening dates of the movie [BELOW].

The movie that gave recognition to Ai-Ai de las Alas as one of the top comedienne in the Philippines has a sequel.

Expecting another box office hit, "Ang Tanging Ina Ninyong Lahat" is the much anticipated sequel to the box-office hit “Ang Tanging Ina” of 2003. This upcoming movie is Star Cinema's entry for the 2008 Metro Manila Film Festival.

Aside of from her growing children in the movie, the film sequel continues her her adventure of being role model ending up being the President of the Philippines, as in Inang Bayan. With her duties as the mother of a country, Ai-Ai dilemma is her duties to her children.

Cast still includes Carlo Aquino, Alwyn Uytingco, Shaina Magdayao, Serena Dalrymple, Jiro Manio, Yuki Kadaoka, Eugene Domingo, DJ Durano, Bianca and Janella Calma and Gloria Diaz.

Heart Evangelista who is now working in GMA network is not included in this sequel.
