Charice sings "Pyramid" in Eat Bulaga (video); actor Joey de Leon admits his a big Fan (video)

International singing sensation and upcoming "Glee" star Charice visited GMA-7's noontime show "Eat Bulaga" for the first time and she was welcomed with open arms and thrilling excitement from the host and the fans. (July 17) [VIDEO BELOW]

Charice's performance in "Eat Bulaga" was a part of a special opening number which also features actress Iza Calzado, comedienne Ruby Rodriguez, Julia Clarete and air acrobatic stunt of actress Pauleen Luna.

The highlight is Charice singing her latest hit single "Pyramid". BTW, respected TV host Joey De Leon personally gave a thumbs up to Charice. Joey was really amazed with Charice talent and achievement.

Charice said in an interview, "“Iba, iba po talaga. Ang sarap ng reaksiyon ng mga tao kanina. And nakakatuwa yung mga host, sobrang babait po nila." (It was different. It was totally different. The audience's reaction was really nice. And the hosts were very heartwarming and funny, they were really nice.)

GMA's Nelson Canlas reported that veteran host/comedian Joey de Leon admits that he is a big fan of Charice. He even knocked on the door of Charice's dressing room to get a picture with her.

Joey de Leon said, “Yung mga imported hindi ko pinapansin, (pero) ito" (I ignore imported stuff, but this one's different.)

Joey de Leon slams Willie Revillame with a poem

ABS-CBN's Wowowee TV host Willie Revillame is currently under heavy fire due to his remarks and tantrum that he made in his noontime show during the transfer of former President Cory Aquino's remains from La Salle Greenhills to Manila Cathedral in Intramuros, Manila last August 3. Willie want the video inset of the late President Cory Aquino’s transfer to be removed from the screen.

Eat Bulaga host Joey de Leon slams her rival host with a poem published in his column in Philstar describing Willie's "arrogance, stupidity, and unprofessionalism."

Star Cinema’s “Ang Tanging Ina Niyong Lahat” topped the 1st day of the 2008 Metro Manila Film Festival

The battle in the box office has now started. The first day ticket sales of the 2008 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) are now released.

Taking the to spot is Star Cinema’s “Ang Tanging Ina Niyong Lahat” with P20.9 million in ticket sales nationwide. Followed by M-Zet Productions’ “Iskul Bukol 20 Years Later” starring Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon, earning P18.9 million.

MMFF’s executive committee said the film festival’s total earnings Thursday reached P68.6 million, up 13.4 percent from last year.

"Iskul Bukol: 20 Years After" - Trailer (2008 Metro Manila Film Festival entry)

One of the Philippines' most popular comedy sitcom in the 80's "Iskul Bukol" starring Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon (TVJ) is returning in the big screen.

"Iskul Bukol: 20 Years After" will be their reunion movie with almost all the original cast with the inclusion of the new breed of young artist of today. It is also an entry for 34th Metro Manila Film Festival.

SYNOPSIS: Twenty years after, Vic Ungasis is now an excellent History professor at Wanbol University and has also successfully ventured in the field of archeology. Natagpuan niya ang Kali of Humabon na siyang nagbukas ng mystery, at hinahanap naman niya ang Kampilan ni Lapu-Lapu at gusto niyang mai-display na magkasama ang dalawang war relics. Ang Kampilan ay nasa pag-aari ni Shimata, a wealthy Japanese national whose main interest is the Peseta, na kasama ng Kampilan. Sinasabing ang Peseta ay isa na lamang sa natitirang 30 pieces of Judas' silver which will give immortality sa sinumang makakakuha nito. Unfortunately, nawawala ang Peseta nang makuha ni Vic ang Kampilan sa kailaliman ng tubig.

Nagpunta si Vic for a speaking engagement in Cambodia, madi-discover niya ang sekreto na kakabit ng mystery, nang makilala niya ang uncle and nephew na sina Samnang at Woog na hina-hunting ng mga tauhan ni Shimata. GMA Network's Christmas Station ID for 2008

GMA Network recently launched the official Kapuso Christmas Station ID for 2008. Through its Christmas campaign, GMA Network reaches out to children who need extra love and care due to their special circumstances.

They are the kids from the White Cross Orphanage, The Down Syndrome Association of the Philippines and the Muslim scholars of Robin Padilla.

"Awit ng Kapuso" which is the title of the song is performed by Julie Ann San Jose and composed by Simon Peter Tan.

Angry Alessandra De Rossi in Startalk

Yesterday at GMA's Entertainment talk show Startalk, Alessandra De Rossi is in a upset and fiery mood after she explained about the slapping incident in Davao with former boyfriend Jeremy Marquez.

Alessandra explained to Host Joey De Leon that she didn't want to destroy her ex-bf but she said Jeremy has an attitude and she added theirs a thing that she can't say on national television and she just whisper it to Mr. Joey De Leon.

Joey De Leon's (New) Wish for 2008

I have just read the column of TV host/comedian Joey De Leon in Manila Bulletin. He discussed his New Year's wish. He said, every year his wish are "Sana mag–number one ulit ang Eat Bulaga sa bagong taong ito, at pati na rin ang station na kinalalagyan namin.(I hope Eat Bulaga will still be No.1 this year and also our Mother Station.)" But he want a different new wish for this year.

So this year 2008 he want to change his wish, "Sana mag-number two ulit sila!(I hope they will stay at no.2!)".

It is obvious he is pointing at their rival TV station(ABS-CBN).

He retracted and Joey said, "And before I get some violent reactions from some quarters I might have "picked on" (that’s where the word "pikon" originated), may I make clear that the number two I was referring to is… QTV. Okay lang kayo? Cheers!"
